Goodbye 2009! Hello 2010!

The last blog post of the year.

As of right now I only have one goal for 2010. And that's to hit 100 sales in my Etsy shop. I have the usual, eat better and lose weight...but those goals I never seem to accomplish. I'm feeling pretty good about hit 100 sales. That seems like a goal that I can reach. It's a little harder to get myself to put down the bag of chips and not to reach my hand in the freezer for more ice cream.

What are your goals/resolutions for 2010?

Happy New Year!!!

Totally awesome website...

I normally don't buy magazines. There a waste of money and trees. But from time to time I buy the magazine, Real Simple. I was thumbing through the magazine the other night and came across this website. I just had to check it out.

http://www.netflixorigami.com

Netflix Origami? Well for those you that are subscribe to Netflix your in for a treat. At this site they have step-by-step instructions explaining how to turn leftover Netflix flaps into 13 mini pieces of art.

Once I found this website I was over joyed. Maybe I'm easily entertained. But I thought it was awesome. I was I little sad that I didn't have any Netflix flaps.. But I got a DVD in the mail today! Hooray!!

I made the heart today. It was pretty simple. I can't wait to get my next DVD!!

Hello!

I've been taking a little break from my Etsy Shop. This month has been crazy. I'm making a list of things I want to add in my Etsy shop. The list keeps growing and growing.

Right now I'm working on dish cloths. I'm going to add them to my shop soon! I promise!! I have 2 sets made already. I want to have a varity of color sets before I start adding them.

I also want to make more robots. I sold 2 sets of these little guys in April and May, when my shop was new. I made these robots using a pattern and changing is up a bit. This pattern was originally a bunny, and I changed it into a robot. I'm so clever.

So keep a look out for new items in my etsy shop!

Hit 60 sales!!!

I sold three items this week...well I guess the week isn't over with yet. But here's what I sold.

The Reindeer and Panda bear went to MI.
And the Cheeseburger Christmas Ornament went to VA!

I was hoping (only a little) that I didn't sell the Reindeer. I wanted to keep him for myself. He's way too cute! I had a hard time packaging him up and sending him away.

40 sales away from 100!! That' s insane!!!

A couple pics of Christmas gifts...

So this cute little snowman is going to live with my mom. I created this pattern. I was surprised in how cute it turned out. It's funny want you can make when you're not following a pattern. You might see this little guy in my Etsy shop soon.

And here is a set of 8 dishcloths. One my mom's side of the family, we do a gift exchange instead of drawing names. It goes like this. Girls bring a girls gift, and guy brings a guy gift. We all draw numbers, go through them, either picking a gift under the tree, so stealing someone gift they already opened. It's so fun. The party is on Sunday. I can't wait.

I'm also thinking about selling these dishcloths in my Etsy shop. What do you think? Yay, nor Nay? Please let me know what you think. I'm a little nervous about selling crocheted toys and dishcloths in the same shop. They don't seem to mesh well together. But I don't want to have to separate shops either. That's too much work. Hmmm....

Favorite Christmas Movie....

And here's a few of my favorite quotes from the movie:

Clark: Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

Ellen: What are you looking at?
Clark: Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn... the clean, cool chill of the holiday air... an asshole in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer...
[Eddie, in the driveway, is draining the RV's toilet]
Eddie: Shitter was full.
Clark: Ah, yeah. You checked our shitters, honey?
Ellen: Clark, please. He doesn't know any better.
Clark: He oughta know it's illegal. That's a storm sewer. If it fills with gas, I pity the person who lights a match within ten yards of it.

Eddie: If that cat had nine lives it sure used 'em all.

Clark: Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?
Eddie: Naw, I'm doing just fine, Clark.

Hello Everyone, Yes I'm still alive. I've been pretty busy with all Christmas related things. Making presents, decorating Christmas trees, making Christmas cookies...etc.

Books I need to read:

I started reading this book around the summer, but I didn't have enough time to finish it. I was going to check it out at my local library, but someone beat me to it. So I put a hold on it, so soon I will finish it.

Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters

I saw this book at the bookstore the other day. I'm defiantly putting this book on my "To Read List"

DTDL Crafters update:

I went to this yesterday. I felt a little awkward. I was right. There was 2 other people there, both about there 60's or late 50's. They told me there was some people missing. It looks like it's a really small group. I felt a little out of place. Kind of like the third wheel. But it wasn't horrible. I think I will go again. It was nice to hang out with different people. Hopefully next time there will be people there that are a little closer to my age.

The next one is on Tuesday, December 15th at 3pm-4pm.
