I started reading this book around the summer, but I didn't have enough time to finish it. I was going to check it out at my local library, but someone beat me to it. So I put a hold on it, so soon I will finish it.

Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters

I saw this book at the bookstore the other day. I'm defiantly putting this book on my "To Read List"


DTDL Crafters update:

I went to this yesterday. I felt a little awkward. I was right. There was 2 other people there, both about there 60's or late 50's. They told me there was some people missing. It looks like it's a really small group. I felt a little out of place. Kind of like the third wheel. But it wasn't horrible. I think I will go again. It was nice to hang out with different people. Hopefully next time there will be people there that are a little closer to my age.

The next one is on Tuesday, December 15th at 3pm-4pm.

I'm thinking about going to this tomorrow. It's at my local library. Delta Township District Library (DTDL) But, I'm a nervous about it.... I have a feeling I will be the only person there that's under 30. I can picture myself now: Hanging out with women 50 and over, knitting and crocheting, talking about their health problems. Not really my cup of tea.... but I'm going to need some adult interaction....

Why is it so hard to make new friends?

So we've lived in our house for about 2 years. It still feels like we just moved it. I love my cute little house. Looking back, it's funny to see that some items in my house has disappeared and new items appear, and furniture has been moved around. These pics were taking in summer '07, with my old camera. I should take some updated pics...Well, Enjoy!

The End is near....

I put in my two week notice last week. I was expecting to work 6 more shifts. 4 this week and maybe 2 more next week. To my surprise, I was not schedule for next week. I believe they're taking a small break from the overnight shifts, and I'm only available for the overnights. I think that's the reason why they didn't schedule me. I'm hoping that's the reason, and not that they really want to get rid of me.

This is my last week. I got another phone call today (from work) telling me the overnight shift for tonight has been canceled. So I'm officially done with the overnight shifts, or as I like to call them... zombie shifts. With that said, I only have 2 more shifts left. And they're going to go by pretty fast since it's the black Friday weekend.

I'm going to miss a lot of the people I work with. I'm not going to miss the crazy zombie shifts, and the silly corporate rules.

So I'm going to start selling on Etsy full time. I really enjoy Etsy, and the Etsy community. It's so fun. I'm not looking to make "millions"... I'm doing this more for fun. I don't want to stress myself out doing this..I'm going to take it day by day. And if I get one sale, I will do a happy dance.

I also need to work on time management. Less time on the computer and spending more time crocheting! I would also like to get back into reading. I used to read a lot, but this year, I think I read a total of 3 books. Last year I think I read somewhere around 20-25 books.

Sale #50!!!

I still can't believe I hit 50 sales!!! Somebody pinch me!!

I hit another milestone in my Etsy shop! 500 people heart my shop!!

This week is going to be very busy for me. All of a sudden I get about 35 hours at work this week. Yuck. But I only have about 5 or 6 shifts left. So I just have to get through this week, and I will be home free. I work overnights tonight and Tuesday. Then I work on Black Friday 5:30am-2pm and on Saturday 6:30-3pm. After typing that all I can say is "ugh".

I would rather stay home and crochet all day! I have so much stuff I want to make!
