Wowza....

Alright. I have no excuses. I'm just ignoring my blog.

So it's May. May 5th.

I've been on a reading kick lately. Almost every day I'm looking for new books to read. My to-read list is up to 217 books. I have read 31 books so far this year. I set my goal for 42 books. At the rate I'm going, I just might hit the 50 books read mark, or higher. At some point I will list all the books I've read so far. But not today.

What can I say? I love books.

My little etsy shop is hanging in the there. Things have been slow, and there was a point where I just wanted to give up. March/April are the worst months for my shop. My goal for this year is to reach 1,300 sales by the end of the year. I'm currently at 1,116 sales. It may seem impossible now, but once the holiday season arrives, I don't think I will have any problems.

GoodReads 2013 Reading Challenge - December

I'm a little late on this post. I'm happy to say that I completed my goal for the year! Here's what I read in the month of December.

The Last Battle
C.S. Lewis

Well.... that's the only book I finished reading last month. After I finished The last battle, I started reading, A Storm of Swords, by George R.R. Martin. That was a chunky book. All 1,177 pages. Well, I didn't finish it until last week, so it will be counted as my first book I read in 2014.

Which reminds me....

I will be taking the GoodReads Reading Challenge again this year. I'm raised my goal a little higher this year. In 2013 my goal was to read 30 books. I ended up reading 40 books. So this year my goal is 42 books. I hope I can do it!

I'm up to 37 books read so far this year! (My goal was 30)

I'm still read Les Miserables. I took about a 5 month break from it, but I picked it up again. I'm 16% done.

The book I'm currently reading is Allegiant, by Veronica Roth. The last book in the Divergent series. I'm over half done and all I can say is... "meh." I'm not impressed. 

Currently Reading.

So here is what I'm currently reading. I really enjoy these books, but it's taking me almost a month and a half to read this one. These books are so long! I love the characters, and the plot so they are worth it. I have less than 100 pages left in this book.

I also need to get back at the Les Miserable book. I've sent that book down a long time ago, and it's probably has dust on it. Maybe after I finish A clash of Kings I will pick it up again.

I finished the Game of Thrones book this weekend! Hooray! It was an awesome book. I love the characters, well written, and ending makes me want to read more! *Looks to see how many pages the next book is....* 780+ pages. Yikes! Another monster book!

I will be taking a break from the series, to start reading another series, The Ender's Game. I'm a sucker for reading the books before I watch the movie. I started reading the book last night. I like the book so far.

Also I’m in the middle of the Chronicles of Narnia series. I’m reading the series in the order they were published. I’m just waiting for this book to be returned at the library.

Chloe's Favorite books... this week...

I make weekly trips to the library with my kids. Chloe, who is 2 1/2, "Go to library? Get new books?" She asks this EVERY day. But I can only handle one weekly trip to the library. I'm glad that she loves books. So here are a couple of her favorite books.
