Milestones and Updates...

I still can't believe it... Someone bought SEVEN of my items this morning. This is my first large order. I'm searching for a box big enough to put all those items in! I've never had that problem before. With all the sales I've been having lately, my shop is starting to feel empty. But I'm not complaining!

Here is what she bought:

  • Mustard Yellow Elephant
  • Pearl Gray Elephant
  • Burnt Orange Elephant
  • Fuchsia Elephant
  • Pair of Pears
  • Red, Yellow, Blue Hippos

Once I got the email about the sale I couldn't believe it... I was dancing and running around the house screaming "I just sold 7 items!!!" WAHOO! I hope my hubby hasn't installed hidden cameras anywhere. I probably looked like a total dork.

In other Etsy news. About a month ago someone contacted me about a wholesale order. I gave her my price. And I never heard from her again. I was a little upset. But I totally forgot about it. Then I get a etsy convo from her last night. She still wants to purchase her order! This made my day. I changed the listings for her, and now I'm just waiting for the payment. I'm so excited! She is going to sell my items in her children boutique shop in Washington! Thanks is so freakin' awesome. I'm crossing my fingers that I get the payment.

Okay, enough with the Etsy stuff.

My life has been pretty good so far. Not having a part-time/full time job is awesome. I'm so glad I made the decision to quit. I don't regret it one bit. My Etsy shop has been keeping me busy. I lasted a whole winter without going completely insane. Which is really good.

I started my diet about a month ago and it's going well. I'm counting calories, fat, carbs, fiber, sugar and protein. I'm trying to eat around 1,300-1,500 calories a day. So far so good. I've got to the point where I'm not hungry all the time. It was a little rough in the beginning. Once I started looking at the actually serving size for lots of food, I realized I was eating the serving size times 2. Ouch. Not good at all. I'm eating more fruits and veggies than I used to, and trying to stay away from the processed junk. But I really love potato chips! My biggest weakness! I've lost about 8 pounds so far, and I'm feeling great. I've been trying to exercise more. Thanks to mother nature for all the snow we got this winter. Shoveling snow is a great workout! I still play wii fit for about a hour. And now that's it's getting nice out, I've been taking 30 minute walks. I want to go out and try on some clothes to see if I've actually gotten smaller. I don't feel skinny. But my sweatpants are really baggy! That must be a good sign, right?
