GoodReads 2013 Reading Challenge - October

It's time for my goodreads book challenge update.

Here is what I read in the month of October.

The Horse and His Boy
C.S. Lewis

A Clash of Kings
George R.R. Martin

The Magician's Nephew
C.S Lewis

I'm up to 37 books read so far this year! (My goal was 30)

I'm still read Les Miserables. I took about a 5 month break from it, but I picked it up again. I'm 16% done.

The book I'm currently reading is Allegiant, by Veronica Roth. The last book in the Divergent series. I'm over half done and all I can say is... "meh." I'm not impressed.

Super Mom...

I put the kids to bed by myself tonight. It was interesting. Chloe kept asking "Where's Daddy?" I told her she will see him in the morning. I'm hope she doesn't wake up at 5am. She didn't take a nap today, so I'm hoping she sleeps for a solid 12 hours.

I feel like Super Mom.

And this Super Mom is EXHAUSTED.

Currently Reading.

So here is what I'm currently reading. I really enjoy these books, but it's taking me almost a month and a half to read this one. These books are so long! I love the characters, and the plot so they are worth it. I have less than 100 pages left in this book.

I also need to get back at the Les Miserable book. I've sent that book down a long time ago, and it's probably has dust on it. Maybe after I finish A clash of Kings I will pick it up again.

DYI Project for me!

I have 5 one gallon ziploc bags fulls of little balls of yarn that I can't see to throw away, yet I don't have much use for them. So I've be collecting, and collecting for many years now. I'm so glad I didn't throw them away. I found a use for them!

A Yarn Bomb Wreath!

Supplies:

* 14 inch Styrofoam wreath form
* Pins ( I used white ball head pins)
* Scrap yarn

Yep! Only 3 supplies!

This project is super easy! I didn't take any step by step photos though. Once I got started I didn't want to stop.

First I wrapped yarn tightly around the wreath form. And I weaved the ends with a needle in the back of the wreath form.

Then I crocheted various sized circles. And I layered them and pinned them on the wreath form with the while ball pins.

And that's it!

And sadly, it didn't take as much yarn as I thought it would. So I still have about 4, one gallon bags of scrap yarn that I need to find something to do with.
