Mini Me.....
So you've all meet Mr. Crab.
Last night as I was crocheting a red apple, I had a thought. I could make a mini Mr. Crab!!! Too bad I had this vision around 10pm last night, and I was getting sleepy. So today I started crocheting the mini crab and I am almost finished!! I have to make 3 more legs and then sew all eight legs to the body and I will be done. This is my own pattern, and I'm pretty proud of it (pats self on back)
Now this mini crab has eyes. I normally don't make my creations with eyes but I've decided that this one is for me. Since it has a few flaws in it. I might make one without eyes to see what it looks like. Either way, you will soon see a mini crab in my etsy shop!
I'm hoping to finish it tonight and then post pics tomorrow!! So come back and take a look!!!

Mr. Crab is FINISHED!!!!
I finally finished Mr. Crab last night!!! It was a fun project but it took forever to finish it! He looks nice in my living room. I haven't seen the cats sleep on him yet, but it makes me smile every time I walk by. :)
Chester decided he would test it out while I was trying to sew him together. Darn Cat.

Success!!!
I can how add "grew flowers from seeds" to my list of things I can do. It's been a while since I've posted new pictures of my plants but it's been worth the wait! Look!!!
I will have some daisies very soon...
My purple cone flower isn't going that great. Squirrels keep digging in it and bugs keep eating the leaves. I might have to transplant this one in the yard somewhere, and maybe it will do better next year. But I still have some pretty good sized leaves on it.

Thinking...
I finally received my copy of Stuffed Magazine. After looking through it for a hour or so, I want to do some experiment with my amgurumi creations. I'm going to start sketching some ideas out. I think I could look at this magazine for hours on end.
Wheels turning in my brain. Off to find some paper and a pencil. Then going to find some hook and some yarn.
So get ready for some unique and quirky designs!!

Owl Tape Measure
Owl Tape Measure
I found this little treasure before I went on vacation and I really wanted to buy it. So I told myself if it's still there when I come back I'm buying it. It sold the day before I went on vacation. :( I was a little sad. But when I came back I logged onto Etsy and to my surprise there was another owl!! I was so happy!! Thanks feltmates for adding another listing!! It made my day!!
I just got this little guy in the mail today, and I fell in love. He's so cute and functional!! You pull on the mushroom and out comes a tape measure!!
You should go to feltmates shop!! Really cute products for sale!!!

Inspiration...
I've got a few ideas for my next projects. One comes from my hubbies video game, and the other from a book. Both of these items have been made before, but I'm making my own versions. I'm going to make mini bombs and eyeballs. The bomb idea came from the game Zelda, and the eyeball idea came from the book I'm currently reading (see post below).
I finished the bombs already. They turned out really cute. And they don't blow up. I have found that black yarn is hard to photograph, but I'm going to give it another try. I'm going to try and add these little bombs on my shop tomorrow, but we will see. I also want to experiment a little and see if I can make a larger bomb.
I'm still in the process of making the eyeballs. I have the pattern all set up, I just need to crochet them.
I still haven't finished Mr. Crab, but I'm hoping I can finish him by the end of the week!!
I'm off to crochet!!!

Book I'm currently reading....
This book is hilarious... You should definitely read it.
Here's a little bit about the book from amazon.com:
"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains." So begins Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, an expanded edition of the beloved Jane Austen novel featuring all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie mayhem. As our story opens, a mysterious plague has fallen upon the quiet English village of Meryton—and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she's soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers—and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead. Can she vanquish the spawn of Satan? And overcome the social prejudices of the class-conscious landed gentry? Complete with romance, heartbreak, swordfights, cannibalism, and thousands of rotting corpses, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies transforms a masterpiece of world literature into something you'd actually want to read.

I'm back!!!
I had a lot of fun at the in-law family reunion. But I'm glad to be home. I missed my cats terribly.
Before I left for vacation... I finished my crab arms!! I had a few problems with them, but they are finished!! All I have left to do it make the eyes and then I can start sewing him together. This weekend is going to be pretty busy, but hopefully I can finish him sometime next week.
Don't worry.. I will post pics when he's all finished so you all can meet him. :)
